Asbestos

Numerous buildings within Agfa-Gevaert NV still contain asbestos in a contained form. When drill- ing, grinding, demolishing etc... people must make certain of the presence of asbestos and request information from the person responsible for asbes- tos works (tel. +32 (0)3 444 2134 or 2135) regarding the presence of asbestos. A “permit for carrying out works” is mandatory for works with exposure to and potential release of asbestos. Q Agfa-Gevaert NV waste containers may not be used by third parties. Q Prevent litter. Q Do not throw any chemical products into the waste water system. Q Prevent all kind of soil contamination. Q Keep noise nuisance to a minimum. Q Take action against release of fine dust (indoor and outdoor). Q Report accidental spillages immediately ( +32 (0)3 444 3333). Safety regulations regarding the environment

Accidents

Every accident within Agfa-Gevaert NV should be reported. Contractors must send an accident report to the prevention service (tel. +32 (0)3 444 5481) for every accident that results in absence.
